Decarboxylated CBD Oil is a hemp flower extract produced by hydrocarbon extraction methods and mixed with hemp seed oil.
Decarboxylation is when the oil is heated up to change the chemical components and “turn on” the CBD. This process improves the efficacy and potency of the oil making it easier for the oil to have an impact on the body because this process contains various concentrations of all cannabinoids and terpenes meaning that the CBD will be more active in the body. Decarboxylated oil is often brown or darker in colour.
There are some subtle differences with the end product when compared to a CO2 extraction method. Hydrocarbon is a clean and efficient process and for many people, has a more rounded profile. Many think that the hydrocarbon method offers more medicinal benefits due to its rich and rounded profile as it does a better job of preserving essential oils and other therapeutic substances in cannabis than other extractions methods.
The hydrocarbon extraction process is viewed by many as a means to increase the quality of the CBD in the CBD oil and thereby offer a quicker response time for the CBD oil once it's in your body. A non decarboxylated CBD oil will not be absorbed as quickly into your body as a decarboxylated type of CBD oil!
